I’m going for a second interview for a job as a Visual Co-ordinator on Wednesday. They’d want to see my portfolio then. To be honest, lately I’ve been avoiding jobs that required me to show my portfolio. I just wasn’t that confident, plus I knew my portfolio was less than impressive. Doesn’t matter though, I’m doing some new stuff for it, so it shouldn’t be too bad. :p I’m really hoping to get the job since the economy isn’t too good now. Fingers crossed!
Regarding my last post, Mum has to go for chemo. I’m not sure when she starts yet, but I was thinking maybe we could both go shop for wigs first. :3
Update [December 5th 2008]: I GOT THE JOB! :DDD The pay may be low, but I’m just going to take this as a learning experience since it’s going to be my first full time job. :)
Hi, I'm Marsha. Basically, I love God, Anberlin, music, gigs & concerts, food, the English language, design & coffee. ...yeah, just a boring geeky girl. :3

eep double crossing fingers for you and your mum! i hope she is ok and i hope you do well on your interview :D
Good luck to your mom and good luck to you with this job! Don’t be ashamed of your portfolio… Always be proud of work you created yourself for that is the best kind of work!
Good luck at your interview. I hope you get the job. I’m sure your portfolio will knock them out of the water.
I hope everything works out with your mom and that she gets better quickly.
Good luck at your interview, you deserve to get the job! I reckon that they will be very impressed. Good luck for your mum too (give her a “get well” hug from me!), shopping for wigs sounds kinda fun! Maybe she can have a whole new fabulous look. I hope she feels better soon, though. It’s great that she’ll be starting her treatment, though.
Congratulations on getting the job, and my thoughts and prayers are with your mom. Cancer is the most difficult thing that a family can go through, my family has went through it three or four times already. Also, I’d advise you to have a mammogram done for precautionary measures. It shouldn’t be any problem since you have a family history of breast cancer. I hope that everything turns out alright!
Congrats on getting accepted! You deserve it. And yes, it doesn’t matter whether the pay’s low at least you like what you’re doing and you’ll get a lot of experience with it :)
About your mom.. i’ll pray for her :) I hope all things will go well.
Congrats on the job! I’m sorry about your mom, I hope she gets through it okay.
congratulations on the job! Good luck to your mom, chemo rounds suck, but it must be a good thing if they’ve offered i to her! Stay strong
