OMGGG… ME AND RIZZLE HAVE TICKETS TO SM TOWN!!!

Well, we knew this 3 hours ago. We got tickets like RIGHT AFTER it went on sale. xD I seriously am still trying to take this all in. I AM IN SHOCK… that I’m doing this, lol. My parents don’t even know yet, and I have no idea how to tell them except that I’d only just asked them this afternoon about their thoughts on me going to LA. xD They weren’t thrilled, to say the least. I said it wasn’t confirmed yet (because at that time, we hadn’t gotten tickets), but now it is. O_O

I’ll be on a flight for 18 hours, with a stopover in Tokyo for both ways. O_O ALONE. O_O And then I’ll meet Face and we’ll have a good time with her (now our) hotel roommate. :D Omg, I’m finally meeting Face after 3 years! That’s crazy! :D

Okay, enough rambling and back to planning the trip. Yay Face! <#

Only – CD Promotion Tours
Some may know that my church produced a CD (all self-written by talented church members :D), of which I had helped design the cover and sleeve. We’ve been having tours since the beginning of Jan and it’s been really fun! Check out the CD! Each CD only costs S$15 and proceeds go to the Baptist Building Fund so you know it’s for a good cause! Boys Like Girls Concert @ Compass Ballroom, Resorts World (28 Jan)
Absolutely glad I decided to go because it was so much fun and they put up a great performance! Resorts World also looked pretty awesome. :D Wasn’t too impressed with the teenies around me and Lorraine though. You should’ve heard their conversation and seen the way this girl was acting around her boyfriend. Icky. He didn’t seem too responsive either, lol!

Maternal Grandmother’s Death (23 Feb)
I also went through a really tough time when my grandmother passed away just a week after I saw her. I was in shock and denial. My brain knew not how to deal with it. Even now, looking back on the wake and funeral, it seems like an out-of-body experience. Throughout the entire wake, and then seeing my grandmother go into the incinerator was surreal. The entire experience was/is surreal. I know that my grandmother is dead, but at times I still think as though she is alive. Such as, when I have a boyfriend, I could bring him over to introduce to her. I will never get that privilege and it upsets me. I also regret those times that I decided not to go visit her just because I was lazy. I’m glad that she at least got to drink the really nice Japanese apple juice that I bought for her during CNY. I hope she knew how much I love her, so much so that I, out of my love/respect for her and Mum, participated in a tiny part of the Buddhist ritual that was against my faith. May God forgive me. When Faith (colleague) came, she told me something I’d never forget: “Stand strong. There’s only one pair of eyes to please.” and I’m ever so thankful for that. :)

Department Weekend Chalet (19 – 21 Mar)
Had a good time at the chalet, which served as a farewell to Boss as he had been transferred to another department. :( Stayed for 3D2N! Also tried out bowling with colleagues and Boss. Even though I pretty much suck at it the first round (gutter ball queen, haha), it was so much fun. :D The second round proved much better. :p I’m so going to get Dad to bowl with me, him being all experienced and stuff. He used to take part in his ex-company’s bowling tournaments, haha! Got his own bowling ball and all. I told Dad and he said we’d go together one day! I’ll try not to gutter ball as much. :p

Subway’s Clash of the Titans Promo
I won a pair of tickets to Clash of the Titans 3D private screening just by eating Subway and submitting the promo card code online! I was so amazed when I got the text congratulating me, because that Monday, I’d decided not to eat with my colleagues and went to get Subway instead! Thank God for blessing me with this. :D I’ve invited Dad to join me and he agreed! Life is good.

ONE. – Baptist Youth Rally (27 Mar)
Went to my first Youth Rally and as we were having P&W, I started crying as we sang “I’ll never know how much it costs, to see my sin upon that cross.” and I was looking up at the cross. It was such a sudden raw mixed emotion and I couldn’t control it. I’ve never experienced it to that extent before and it reaffirmed me of my love for God and my desire to become a better person than I was before (yeah, I wasn’t a very nice person :p). I am thankful every day for every little thing that He provides me with, because I know that what He gives, He can also take away.

Besides those highlighted events, work is as the same so nothing much to tell about that. I’m also finally able to honestly say that I love and enjoy life. :D Even if something really crappy happens, it always works out. I give all the credit to God and am extremely thankful for His blessings. Praise the Lord!

Germs have also been making its way around the office. One person gets sick, everyone gets their turn. :/ Apparently it’s my turn now. I’ve been sniffing a lot over the past week. -_- Damn you, poor ventilation!

Anyhow, Chinese New Year is just around the corner. How crazy is that!? Just when I was thinking, “Wow, long way till I get to wear my new clothes.” It never fails to amaze me just how fast time flies. Never. It always leaves me with my jaw on the floor.

Since I work so hard (so much), I’ve accumulated enough time to take over an entire work day off, so I got off work early on Thursday, and have been home all day today. Isn’t that awesome!? :D …save for the part where I’m sick and feel like I have no energy whatsoever in my body. -_- I love my super long weekend, though! I only get back to work on Wednesday. :p

[Edit (10.30am):] Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m going to see Jason Mraz in March. :D He’s not exactly my favouritest musician (everyone knows that’s Anberlin for me :p), but I do like a lot of his songs. My little cousin’s a big fan, and she’s going with her friends as well. Maybe we’d see each other there. xD

There’s also a company D&D just the day before Jason Mraz (I’m so going to be dead tired! o_o), and our department is having a Back to School theme. :D My colleague MMS’d me a picture of a skirt they were planning to get, it’s so cute! Only S$15 as well, so I agreed. xD

Gosh, I really need to stop spending money if I even want to get to Vegas/London for my birthday week. -_-;; [/Edit]

I had always dreamt of being a journalist. However, my dreams were dashed when I failed to produce more than outstanding results in my GCE ‘O’ Levels. With only 5 credits instead of the 6 that I had to get to be able to be considered into the Mass Communication diploma courses of any polytechnic, I ended up trying out for a private design college. And you already know what I think of that as my future.

I’ve not given up hope that someday I’d be a great journalist, or at least part of a great behind-the-scenes team. I’ve applied for jobs as almost anything I’m qualified for, at Singapore’s largest media broadcaster, MediaCorp. Hopefully I’d get called for an interview. Fingers crossed! :D

Oh, I should probably explain the domain name. I was born at 8.59pm on the 5th of October, and have always toyed with the idea of making it my domain name. For some odd reason, I bought UndividedHonesty.net first and stuck with it for a year (i.e. till it expired). I then decided to make a fresh start, despite just renewing the same hosting plan (since I love it so much).

I’m basically just going to use this domain the same way I’d always been: a place for all my stuff. Stuff such as this blog, my portfolio, site collective and fanlistings, mediashelf and all that. :)
