OMGGG… ME AND RIZZLE HAVE TICKETS TO SM TOWN!!!

Well, we knew this 3 hours ago. We got tickets like RIGHT AFTER it went on sale. xD I seriously am still trying to take this all in. I AM IN SHOCK… that I’m doing this, lol. My parents don’t even know yet, and I have no idea how to tell them except that I’d only just asked them this afternoon about their thoughts on me going to LA. xD They weren’t thrilled, to say the least. I said it wasn’t confirmed yet (because at that time, we hadn’t gotten tickets), but now it is. O_O

I’ll be on a flight for 18 hours, with a stopover in Tokyo for both ways. O_O ALONE. O_O And then I’ll meet Face and we’ll have a good time with her (now our) hotel roommate. :D Omg, I’m finally meeting Face after 3 years! That’s crazy! :D

Okay, enough rambling and back to planning the trip. Yay Face! <#

The point of this post was to marvel at how much I can spend on books, CDs and DVDs on a single trip to a book store. ._. Occasionally, I even splurge on stationery. This is dangerous! Someone keep me away from these places! Dx

I met up with Lorraine, a dear friend I hung out with back in college, two Friday nights ago. I dragged her (not quite literally) to Borders, without the intention of getting anything, seeing as just the previous week, I got two design books (this and this) which were on 50% off.

However… *danger music* I decided I wanted to get Mitch Albom’s Have a Little Faith, it was on offer and was only $24.99. :p As we browsed through the store, I spotted some design books on a row of shelves with other random books, so I flipped through the design ones. Then I looked up… to a sign that said something along the lines of “spend at least $30 and get any of these books for $10!” BREAKING POINT! I had to have those design books.

I mean, if you’re a design student, you know how much design books cost, and how crazy it would be to get a few of them just for referencing. Part of the reason why we’re always broke, lol. I grabbed the two design books (this and this) and went in search of other things to up my purchases to $30. Lorraine also grabbed a book she liked to put on my tab, since it was only going to be $10 anyway. xD

I looked around the DVD section since I had CD & DVD coupons from the Borders newsletter, and ended up getting Up and Night at the Museum. As I was about to go pay, we passed by a wagon with DVDs below $15, so I got Final Destination. xD

So… there you have it. This is how I can go into a bookstore without planning to get anything, to coming out with way too many things. :| Emptied my gift card and paid for the rest myself. Scary, huh? Haha.

So CNY has just whooshed by. The 15th day of CNY is just around the corner. I don’t know about you, but time sure is getting by real quick lately. I know I’ve been saying that a lot, but I just can’t seem to catch up! D:

Work’s pretty stressful, if I might say. I’m coping okay, there’s just a lot to do, and it’s starting to feel like college all over again. So not cool. I never wanted to get back into doing graphics, but I was put there because of my graphic background. :( Ah well…

I met up with friends over the last two days, and I really miss actually having a life. One’s going abroad to study a double degree for 5 years. I’m going to miss her, but she’ll be back at Christmas so we’ll meet again then. :)

The other I haven’t met in a long while, so it was nice to finally meet up. I also ended up doing something I never thought I’d do. xD I was going to show her my crush :p and she wanted to show me hers. We went over to where the latter was working, and he was actually pretty cute! She was so determined to get his number, but was really shy, lol.  After we kept pacing around the level for over an hour (window shopping at the same time), I finally did it for her. I can’t believe I did, but at that moment, it felt pretty normal. xD Pity she didn’t get to see my crush.

Germs have also been making its way around the office. One person gets sick, everyone gets their turn. :/ Apparently it’s my turn now. I’ve been sniffing a lot over the past week. -_- Damn you, poor ventilation!

Anyhow, Chinese New Year is just around the corner. How crazy is that!? Just when I was thinking, “Wow, long way till I get to wear my new clothes.” It never fails to amaze me just how fast time flies. Never. It always leaves me with my jaw on the floor.

Since I work so hard (so much), I’ve accumulated enough time to take over an entire work day off, so I got off work early on Thursday, and have been home all day today. Isn’t that awesome!? :D …save for the part where I’m sick and feel like I have no energy whatsoever in my body. -_- I love my super long weekend, though! I only get back to work on Wednesday. :p

[Edit (10.30am):] Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m going to see Jason Mraz in March. :D He’s not exactly my favouritest musician (everyone knows that’s Anberlin for me :p), but I do like a lot of his songs. My little cousin’s a big fan, and she’s going with her friends as well. Maybe we’d see each other there. xD

There’s also a company D&D just the day before Jason Mraz (I’m so going to be dead tired! o_o), and our department is having a Back to School theme. :D My colleague MMS’d me a picture of a skirt they were planning to get, it’s so cute! Only S$15 as well, so I agreed. xD

Gosh, I really need to stop spending money if I even want to get to Vegas/London for my birthday week. -_-;; [/Edit]

I’ve opened and put up my McFly 2009 calendar. :3 I’m not flipping through it this year because I want to be surprised. xD

I’m not making any resolutions this year. I’m just going to make promises to myself that I’d better keep. :p

Any big plans for the new year?

Presents wise, some awesome ones, some meh ones, but I like the family time the most. :3

I had to work from 8am till 1.30am the next day yesterday, and missed having dinner with my relatives who were leaving this morning (they live in Malaysia). :( At least Eve was awesome, and I’ll hopefully be seeing them again soon.

I should have gone to bed about an hour ago, but Vista and iTunes (with the iPod plugged in)? They aren’t best friends, so I’ve been waiting around for my laptop to stop hanging on me. It finally did for a while, but it occasionally likes to act up. Like when I’m typing this out! >_>;;

Anyhow, Christmas is in two weeks! Can anyone believe that!? Time passes way too fast! D: So this year, instead of waiting around to be disappointed by the presents that my extended family gives me, I’ve gone and splurged on things I really really like and have been waiting to get. :D It’s not that I don’t appreciate the gesture, I do. It’s just, there’s only so many years in a row that you want to get towel sets, y’know?

I’ve completely spent way too much, and I know that, but hey! It’s Christmas! The only time I actually allow myself to buy that much stuff. xD I’m also going to be spending a lot trying to get stuff to my friends around the world. :D Did you guys get anything for yourselves or your loved ones?
